We all know the joy of getting a new puppy, the fun and love along the way, but we also know the heartache at the end of the journey. When we take a new dog into our family, we know he or she will grow old or sick and leave us someday, but we also know the comfort and love and devotion these wonderful creatures give us, makes it all worthwhile. It's the price we pay for a priceless gift. When we lose one, we grieve for a time and then when the time is right, we choose to start all over and love again.
