We would like our site to be a website of comfort for those who love dogs.
We all know the joy of getting a new puppy, the fun and love along the way, but we also know the heartache at the end of the journey. When we take a new dog into our family, we know he or she will grow old or sick and leave us someday, but we also know the comfort and love and devotion these wonderful creatures give us, makes it all worthwhile. It's the price we pay for a priceless gift. When we lose one, we grieve for a time and then when the time is right, we choose to start all over and love again. Each dog keeps it's own special place in our heart. Click on the poem To Love Again
The Dog stories on our site offer comfort and healing and learning. They take us back in time to a dog we owned and the stories that live in our memory or maybe to our present companion with stories of today. They allow us to ponder what love and loyalty and acceptance really mean.

The Rainbow Bridge
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called The Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of The Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on earth. So, each day they play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! This one suddenly runs from the group!
You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.
Then, you cross The Rainbow Bridge together never again to be separated.
