"Remembering Sadie"

A memorial to friends in the passing of their beloved yellow lab

My heart is saddened over the news of the passing of my  friend,  "Sadie."

I remember I fell in love with that ball of yellow fur sleeping in  your kitchen. I just had to have one of those labs.

I remember how she was so full of energy and greeted everyone  with great enthusiasm, much to your embarrassment.

I remember her appreciation of my Christmas gifts.

I remember how she would sneak away and come over to see us.

I remember taking care of her when you were coming home late  and how she was always so happy to see me.

I remember the shredded rug hanging on the clothes line and  thinking - My friend is in trouble.

I remember her wagging tail when she ate her food.

I remember the comfort she gave you.

I remember how I hated to see her leave when you moved  away,  because I knew I would never see her again.

I remember she had a wonderful friendship with your little  neighbor boy.

I remember you gave her a gift by letting her play with the  neighbor's dog before she became sick.

I remember how you always made sure she was very well taken  care of.

I remember her loyal friendship to you.

I remember how she loved you.

I remember how you loved her.

May the wonderful memories you have of "Sadie" live in your  hearts always and bring you comfort.
