Maggie Goes to Bible Study

Howdy Doggie Lovers……It’s me, Maggie again!

Me and Daddy Earl go to Bible Study every Thursday. He takes me every time, unless the weather is too hot for pooches to stay in the car. He parks under a big shade tree at the church and leaves me in the car with the windows lowered a bit. I have a nice travel bed in the back to lay back and snooze. Sometimes, while he’s studying the Bible, I pretend I’m driving the car. I sit up in that driver’s seat just like Daddy Earl!

The Bible Study lasts about an hour….then Daddy Earl comes out and lets me out of the car. This is when the fun begins! I have to greet everyone in attendance. But, there is one special person I just have to go see first. That is “The Church Secretary.” She is soooooooo nice. She keeps treats for me on her desk. So, first thing I do, is run down the hall and slide around the corner to her office. She gives me the treats and we converse a bit. Then, I head on back up the hall to greet everybody else.

I get lots of pats and good wishes. I’m told often how beautiful I am and what a smart girl I am. It makes a girl blush to get so many compliments. I also get some special treats from one special lady in attendance. Her name is Carolyn. She always brings me some little morsel of something. One day, she brought me “Animal Crackers.” Yum Yum!

Then, after all the conversing with my friends, I head on out the door with Daddy Earl. We’ve got to get back home. It’ll be lunchtime soon and I always get a bite of whatever Daddy Earl has for lunch. He’s a good Daddy!

P.S. GREAT NEWS!!!!!!! At the last meeting, it was decided by unanimous decision by the class members that I would be allowed to attend the class. I was a very good girl and was quiet as a mouse. I just lay right by my Daddy Earl and snoozed. He said, "I was afraid she would start snoring." I could tell he was real proud of me! I guess this means Maggie Girl will be an attendee from now on. Hallelujah!!!!!Hallelujah!!!!!
