Dear Momma and Daddy,
This is Zoey! I’m writing to you because I want to tell you not to be sad about my leaving you. Although, I miss you very much, I ‘m having a great time at “The Bridge.” You know….a wonderful thing has happened to me. I’m not sick anymore. I am young and healthy again…. It’s truly a miracle!!!!
When I was getting ready for my journey to the Bridge, I worried about you. I knew you would be sad and cry when I left you. So, when I arrived here, I said to myself.....Zoey, you've got to do something about that! I decided to write you a letter of encouragement to help you feel better, and also reminisce a bit about all the good times we had together on earth. You know...you spoiled me. I was the "Queen of the Household."
Daddy...I fell in love with you the first day I saw you. I wanted to go right home with you, but you said you had to ask your best girl if it was okay. Momma, being the "Best Girl," said yes! Thank you, Momma, for saying yes! Daddy, you made a special car seat for me, so I could travel with you and Momma. I just loved to travel! I thought I was a big girl sitting there between you and Momma. You probably didn't notice, but I was keeping my eyes on the road for you, just in case you might need my help. All in all, you were really a very good driver! We had so much fun traveling together, didn't we? I have the best Momma and Daddy a girl could ever have!
I want to tell you about “The Bridge.” It's a wonderful place of many beautiful colors. There are hills and valleys with lots of space to run and play. We always have warm spring weather. Everyone is young and whole again. No one ever gets old or sick. We always have our favorite food and lots of treats. There are large ponds of clear fresh water. Flowers are blooming everywhere and there are great beautiful trees for shade when one needs to relax and take a nap after play.
I have lots of new friends that are just my size. We run and play all day. Our favorite game is chasing butterflies. They are all over the place....Big beautiful butterflies.
Me and my friends like to sun ourselves on the big rocks by the ponds and watch the big dogs swim. Boy.... Those labs really like to swim!
Sometimes, we just chill out under the oak trees and share stories about our lives on earth. The “Golden Rule” is practiced here. There is no jealousy.…..just love and kindness for each other. Isn't that remarkable?
By the way, I have some very exciting news. I have been given a supervisory position here.....just like I had at home. You know.....It’s called ”The Boss.”
Well, I'll sign off for now. I hope my letter touches your heart and makes you feel better. I haven't left you...I'm just over at "The Bridge."
I'll be watching for you. We’ll cross “The Bridge” together someday. In the meantime, I’ve got to go chase butterflies with my new friend.... Jennifer.
I will love you always! Until we meet again.....
Zoey
P.S. Tell Zack to behave himself and be a good boy
and leave Momma and Daddy's shoes alone!
